Welcome to the website of the

Somerset AUSSI Inc. Masters Swimming Club.

You don’t have to be a ‘gun’ swimmer to join the Somerset Seahorses.

Anyone 20 years or older with an interest in swimming for fitness and fun is welcome to come along and join.

Age is no barrier. Swimming is one of the few sports you can actively participate in throughout life. We have members in their 20s to 80s.

The main advantages of joining a club are motivation and company.

  • Motivation - to train regularly, to extend yourself, to try different strokes.

  • Company - to be able to swim with and get to know other people who share an interest in swimming.

We cater for social swimmers who just want to swim for fitness and fun as well as the more serious swimmers who are keen to participate in a year-round program of Masters’ swimming events.

Challenging yourself…

Swimming with AUSSI can give you the opportunity to set yourself many personal challenges – whether this be swimming several hundred meters continuously for the first time, learning a new stroke, bettering your Personal Best times (PB’s), breaking all the State Records for your age group, or completing a marathon swim such as the Rottnest Channel Swim – there is a challenge there for you!

Just SOME of the 35 Somerset Legends!!
